Citizens Advice in North and West Kent (CANWK) is an independent charity affiliated to national Citizens Advice. We give people the knowledge and confidence they need to find their way forward - whoever they are and whatever their problem. We provide free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to people with a wide variety of issues, including debt and money matters, benefits, employment, housing and immigration. CANWK supports people across Dartford, Gravesham, Sevenoaks, Swanley, Tonbridge and Malling and Tunbridge Wells. Along with our generalist advice, we have specialist advice teams for immigration, housing, benefits, debt and employment issues, along with teams providing holistic advice for people with mental health issues (Money & Mental Health and Perinatal Health Project). Wave Community Bank is the local credit union for anyone that lives or works in Kent or Medway, offering savings accounts, affordable loans and basic bank accounts to help everyone access financial services. Saving with WCB is a great way to build up your saving pot whilst supporting the local community. WCB offers simple share accounts as well as PrizeSaver, the savings account where you can win £5000 from a monthly draw simply by saving, and Wave Save which helps you set savings goals. Savings accounts are instant access and your savings are protected by the FSCS. WCB offer flexible affordable loans from £500 to £35,000 (5-42.6% APR). To apply for a loan you need to have an income of at least £125 per week. WCB welcome loan applications from people on benefits as well as those in work. Visit the loan calculator on the website to see what your repayments could be. All loan repayments have a savings element to them to help borrowers build their savings as they repay their loan. Loans are for people aged 18+ and subject to credit checks and status. When you join WCB, membership has a one-off fee of £5 and you need to deposit £1 to open your savings account. Membership offers great benefits including up to 20% off Aviva bus tickets and access to lots of money management advice.

Through a range of trauma-informed services, such as Outreach (1:1), Group-based programmes and a civil court service, SATEDA provide direct access to support, advocacy and advice for women and children who’ve experienced or are experiencing domestic abuse. We strive to offer a journey of support which increases choices for women – enabling them to take back control, break free and live a life without fear. We’re the only domestic abuse service in Kent working solely with women and we know domestic abuse isn’t linear so our support services aren't either. It’s tailored to the individual needs. The client is in control of the journey and we’ll hold their hand through it.
