The British Red Cross is the UK's largest independent provider of services and support for refugees and people seeking asylum. We help refugees from all backgrounds and religions. We will not report you to the authorities. If you are a refugee or asylum seeker in the UK, or if you know someone who is, our team may be able to support you with: -one-to-one casework -one-off support -information and signposting about where to get help. The support we give may come from the Red Cross or we may refer you to other organisations. In Gravesend we also run a Young Refugee Project that supports young people (15-25) who want to join our sessions to learn English and socialise with other young people.

My Birth Support CIC provides perinatal mental health support in and around Canterbury. Helping parents to flourish and thrive by offering affordable childbirth preparation, birth trauma recovery, parenting and infant loss support in groups or 1:1, online or face-to-face. We also tailor specialist support for couples and we have two support podcasts to help those who can't leave the house. Everything we offer is on a pay-what-you-can basis.

Youth Ngage are an organisation that helps to develop the potential of our participants. Using a holistic approach to supporting vulnerable young people and their families, we engage, train, and develop them to have positive self-esteem and become good role models. We work mostly with BAME youths in Gravesham, with a focus on African and Caribbean young people aged 11 - 25 years old and their parents. (PLEASE NOTE: Individuals must be aged 18+ to be referred via ReferKent) We use sports as an entry strategy to maintain peace in our community, providing healthy activities, career development projects, employability services, mental well-being support, skills development training, and community engagement events for youths and family members.

We support children, young people and adult's mental health and wellbeing along with those who have long term health conditions or are at risk of social isolation through fishing sessions. These sessions help build confidence, resilience, communication, decision making and problem solving skills. Our fish and chat session for adults runs from 10am-2pm with the final hour being spent sitting and chatting over tea and cake to make new friendships.

At Sports Connect we are delighted to run the Holiday Activity and Food programme during every major school holidays in partnership with KCC, The Education People and Kent Children and Young People organisations. Our focus is on sport, physical activity, and health sessions and these are held at both our Aylesford Bulls site in Aylesford near Maidstone (ME20 7DS) as well as The Appleyard Sports Club based in Sittingbourne (ME1 1QN). We have a timetable that encompasses some structured activities to aid development of learning the skills associated with the different activities as well as free time to allow children to explore their imagination and play.
