Services include: • Seashells Children Centre – one of the first children’s centres set up across the county as part of the original Sure Start Programme. Into Work is a Service for people in Gravesend. It is a new holistic employment service providing wraparound support to help people back into employment. We know how vital employment can be for people, both mentally and practically in terms of providing purpose and financial stability. Into Work provides - Tailored support plan around money, housing, confidence, motivation etc. - Assistance with creating targeted CV’s. Help with completing application forms and cover letters. - Support with job searching, including setting up email addresses and registering with jobsites. - Brokering and seeking job vacancies. - Access to our online Employment Hub. - Signposting to training opportunities, including English, Maths and IT skills. - Signposting for advice and support with in-work benefits and volunteering. - Support and advice for you and your employer once in work. - Access to supported employment while retaining disability related benefits. Our service is tailored to your identified goals and expectations. We work with you to identify your hopes and aspirations, and what support you need to achieve them. A tailored action plan is developed to help measure progress along the way. Into Work builds on the Individual Placement and Support employment service mode. How we can help: Our aim is to support you to make change, by looking at the barriers you face around your mental wellbeing. We provide you with a tailored recovery/ vocational plan, with the end goal of supporting you into paid employment. To be eligible for this free service you will be: Aged 18 and over Live in Gravesend Seeking paid employment Experiencing mental health difficulties If eligible, you will be invited for an informal chat with an employment specialist to discuss your present situation and what your needs are. We will explore the various options to help you achieve your goals during regular one to-one meetings and action plans. Into Work is a community based service using a mixture of face-to-face, phone calls and virtual support. We can work with you for up to 18 months. Joining our programme is voluntary and you can leave at any point. Your benefit entitlement will not be affected by use of this service.
