**IMPORTANT** PLEASE USE THE REFERRAL FORM ON OUR WEBSITE FOR REFERRALS (https://www.mhm.org.uk/canterbury-safe-haven) The Safe Havens offer free mental health support in a welcoming, comfortable, non-judgmental, and non-clinical environment. Our experienced staff teams are available to provide emotional, social and practical support if you are in crisis or feel you are heading toward a crisis situation. You can come just for a chat, or to access one-to-one emotional support from trained mental health professionals. We also offer help in creating staying well and crisis plans, and support visitors to access other services and organisations that may be useful to them. We also offer virtual support via telephone and video call. We are open 365 days from 6 pm to 11 pm We work closely with GPs, Community Mental Health Teams, Crisis Teams, A&E Mental Health Liaison Teams, Police and Ambulance Services, Street Triage, and other front-line healthcare professionals to ensure that people in emotional distress have a safe, supportive place to go to, with appropriate mental health support available. People using the service will also be supported by our 24/7 helpline, which offers access to emotional support and information when the service is closed. Please note: The Havens are not suitable for people needing urgent medical attention (for example, after self-harm). For urgent medical care please attend your nearest A&E or call 999.

Description

At the heart of RBLI - Lifeworks year-long employment support programme is an award-winning 4-day course. All elements being modular, face to face or remote, our employability support courses are completely FREE to Veterans and Reservists, including the cost of travel, lunch and accommodation where needed. Our Lifeworks team of Employment Advisors, Vocational Development Coaches and Vocational assessors take the time to understand the individuals we help. We tailor our support to develop yourself-efficacy towards work readiness. Our courses include preparing the individual for change, helping to understand what work not only suits you but, what you would love to do, before creating a sustainable and achievable plan. We then focus on developing employability skills including CV writing, covering letters, and interview technique and practice.

CAP Enterprise helps people develop a more enterprising and 'can-do' approach to their personal and professional lives. Our team helps people with: - Starting up a new business - Registering as self-employed - Personal development - confidence building, goal setting and empowerment - Coaching and mentoring - Social enterprise support Every now and then (subject to funding) we also run action learning projects. These are projects where people work with others in a team to collaboratively complete a project or task, such as: converting a van into a campervan, running a pop-up shop, setting up a community event or some other learning project. Action learning is where people take on a new project and are able to learn new skills, improve confidence and achieve improved wellbeing.
