We work with every secondary school in the borough, manage community events, run a community allotment, and have produced an annual youth performance at the Woodville theatre for the past 10 years. We work across Gravesham. Our base is at the Gravesend Methodist Church and many of our services are based here. The Community Cupboard

Food Advice & Support, Community Services

Description

A community led food bank supporting local residents with grocery support and offering signposting services. Local businesses, tradesmen and residents all pulled together to offer their help and the hub was transformed from a disused garage to a welcoming space where people could access food, groceries and signposting services over a cup of tea. More businesses, local schools & doctors surgeries became involved and we quickly joined forces with other local agencies and support services. By working together, we have ensured that those in need receive the correct support to address ongoing issues. We cover NW Kent mainly but will also cover further afield if an agency collects on their behalf. Generally, our working area cover 10-15 miles from West Kingsdown in Kent. Our ethos has always been that everyone needs a little help sometimes and we aim to ensure that the support we provide allows people to retain their dignity whilst doing so.
