We will not report you to the authorities. If you are a refugee or asylum seeker in the UK, or if you know someone who is, our team may be able to support you with: -one-to-one casework -one-off support -information and signposting about where to get help. The support we give may come from the Red Cross or we may refer you to other organisations. In Gravesend we also run a Young Refugee Project that supports young people (15-25) who want to join our sessions to learn English and socialise with other young people.

1) We support people to find volunteering opportunities across Dover district, Folkestone & Hythe and Thanet, we share volunteering opportunities on behalf of volunteer-involving organisations (VIOs) i.e. charities, community groups and CICs operating in these areas. We often say we are like a job centre for volunteering. We also support VIOs by bringing them together for Networking and Knowledge sessions, and with bespoke best practice training and resources on the topic of volunteering. At the time of writing this listing, we also run two-in house projects to help alleviate loneliness and isolation, support health and wellbeing - and to support our local health services. 2) A Community Transport Service across Dover district, Folkestone & Hythe and Thanet, with volunteer drivers taking isolated older people who cannot use public transport to essential medical appointments - and where possible to social appointments. This is a membership service. We are always looking for new drivers across all areas. 3) A befriending service across Dover district, Folkestone & Hythe and Thanet. This is called the Good Neighbours Service and usually involves a volunteer befriender making a weekly visit to an isolated older person for tea and a chat. Description

At Sports Connect we are delighted to run the Holiday Activity and Food programme during every major school holidays in partnership with KCC, The Education People and Kent Children and Young People organisations. Our focus is on sport, physical activity, and health sessions and these are held at both our Aylesford Bulls site in Aylesford near Maidstone (ME20 7DS) as well as The Appleyard Sports Club based in Sittingbourne (ME1 1QN). We have a timetable that encompasses some structured activities to aid development of learning the skills associated with the different activities as well as free time to allow children to explore their imagination and play.
