At the time of writing this listing, we also run two-in house projects to help alleviate loneliness and isolation, support health and wellbeing - and to support our local health services. 2) A Community Transport Service across Dover district, Folkestone & Hythe and Thanet, with volunteer drivers taking isolated older people who cannot use public transport to essential medical appointments - and where possible to social appointments. This is a membership service. We are always looking for new drivers across all areas. 3) A befriending service across Dover district, Folkestone & Hythe and Thanet. This is called the Good Neighbours Service and usually involves a volunteer befriender making a weekly visit to an isolated older person for tea and a chat.
