Description
Dover Big Local CIC supports the whole community with an emphasis on vulnerable families, either by providing services or partnering with other agencies and providers.
The focus is on health and wellbeing. Directly provided services currently are:
• Parent and toddlers sessions
• Digital IT Support sessions
• Cooking Sessions
• Dungeons and Dragons
• Dover Den - A Safe Place for Men sessions.
Partnered sessions include:
• One Stop Shops, primarily for women affected by Domestic Abuse
• Take Off Mental Health Support
• Include Us Too
• NHS Wellbeing sessions
• Bereavement Groups
• Modelling Club Groups.
Our new family support service offers free advice on debts, family finances and budgeting, emotional support for parents and positive parenting sessions, championing reducing parental conflict, education and housing advice, alcohol and substance misuse. This often involves signposting, referring to other agencies or working together with other agencies.
