Description
Compaid supports disabled, older and disadvantaged people in and around Kent to realise their potential, helping them to overcome the barriers of social, digital and economic exclusion.
We operate a funded outreach service in various locations around Kent, people can book in for free sessions with our friendly staff, they offer support with device navigation, digital skills, digital skills for work preparation/applications, and personal projects.
Our centre in Paddock wood welcomes clients who come to us for a variety of reasons; online weekly shopping, ordering prescriptions, renewing blue badges and passports, art, games, creative writing, personal interests and research. Help to use their own devices and learn the basics of internet navigation, online safety etc. Clients can spend time away from the computers relaxing and socialising, playing board games or crafting if they choose.
We are able to support a range of people, from those with a physical or learning disability, to others with mental health and/or age related conditions. Our team of skilled and dedicated staff and volunteers provide digital skills training, employability support and accessible transport across Kent. We also offer volunteering opportunities and support.
Our services are person-centred. We work with each individual to understand their needs and aspirations, tailoring our services accordingly.
